An opportunity to take time for yourself, to heal mind, body & soul.
About This Event
About the Yoga:
Join yoga teachers Laura Garcia, Mahalia Pellet, María de los Ángeles & Carlos Mundalah.
Mandala yoga is performed in a spiralling way, moving around the mat. We can use these spiralling movements to create a deeper connection between each element and its corresponding chakra (eg. Earth and Muladhara), or to focus on a particular target area or peak pose. Mandala is a powerful, flowing and deeply meditative style of yoga, allowing for all levels of practitioner to enjoy exploring many different asanas.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses that are held for periods of time (from 2-10 minutes) followed by rebounds. Even though it is passive, yin yoga can be quite challenging due to the long holds, particularly if your body is not used to it. The purpose is to apply moderate stress to the connective tissue - the tendons, fascia and ligaments - with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Yin yoga can also allow you to deeply access your emotional and spiritual bodies, and find healing & acceptance.
Rocket yoga was developed by Larry Schultz in the 1980s. It is rooted in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition and takes poses from primary, second and third series of Ashtanga. The Rocket consists of three fun and freeing sequences of asanas, including several opportunities to attempt inversions and arm balances. The Rocket allows you to be yourself, to let go of any expectations and just enjoy the ride!
What does Munay Ki mean?
Munay Ki is a word that comes from the Quechua language of Perú and it means "I Love You" or "Be Like You Are".
The nine rites of the Munay-Ki have been transmitted to the world and have passed from generation to generation within the shamanistic traditions, with different styles for different cultures. The rites find their origin in the great initiative rites of the Indus Valley and were brought to the Americas by the first medicine men and women who crossed the Strait of Bering during the ice age about 30,000 years ago. These brave travelers are known as the Laikas: Earthkeepers from the past, present and future.
Laikas believe that these rites are the next step in the evolution of humanity; to realign and attune our neurological pathways, and truly bring about a change of consciousness. Essentially, the initiative rites gives us the power to face the task of taking care of the Earth and all of its creation.
During the retreat you will also receive knowledge on how to convey the 9 rites to others. You will learn to assist a "client" or a loved one in its transformation process, and know how to install energy protections in the bright energy field of human beings. You will learn about the awakening of the inner "seer", the reconnection with the feminine & the Earth and you will experience the deep connection with the wisdom of the past and the future that exists within yourself.
